Watership Down by Richard Adams

5 star

Rabbits, Adventure, Nature, Life, War, Survival, Friendship

When Hazel’s brother senses that something bad is going to happen to their warren, the two young rabbits set out with a small band of others to find a new home. Along the way they encounter harrowing dangers, strange new rabbits, and a beautiful warren—but a search for lady rabbits may bring destruction. Watership Down is alarmingly suspenseful while also managing to be informative, intriguing, and funny. The Lapine words are fun to learn and the characters are sharply defined and compelling. Would recommend to any fans of adventure, story telling, suspense, and/or humanity in non-human characters.
